CABANATUAN CITY-An employee of the provincial engineering office was killed on Tuesday (Feb. 13) by a motorcycle riding gunman at the junction park in Barangay (village) Caalibangbangan, a belated police report said.
Librado Mendoza, 62, was shot multiple times at 9:55 a.m. The police have not yet established the reason for the attack.
Mendoza is the second employee of the provincial government to be killed this year.
On Jan. 14, Mary Ann Hernandez, administrative chief of Gov. Czarina Umali, was shot in front of her family in Talavera town, Nueva Ecija province. Her husband was wounded in the attack.
Mendoza used to serve as a cameraman for local television station Channel 48 at the old capitol compound here until he was hired by the provincial government over a year ago.
