China-funded rehab center to rise in Agusan del Sur
SAN FRANCISCO, Agusan del Sur — Another drug rehabilitation center funded by the Chinese government will rise on a 4.5-hectare government lot in Barangay Algeria here.
The P350-million project is a 150-bed facility set to be finished in 2020, according to Health Undersecretary Roger Tong-an.
The state-owned China State Construction Engineering Corp. will build the center.
In November, the construction of a similar facility started in Alabel town, Sarangani province, under an aid package from the Chinese government. —Chris Panganiban and Divina Suson
