The northeast monsoon or “hanging amihan” in Luzon and the tail-end of a cold front in parts of Visayas and Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with light rain over those areas, the state weather bureau said on Thursday.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), the tail-end of a cold front is affecting Eastern Visayas and Caraga; while the northeast monsoon is affecting the Cagayan Valley Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Ilocos, and Quezon.

The state weather agency also advised that Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain this Thursday

Meanwhile, a low pressure area located 505 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur will not have a direct impact on the country’s weather.               /kga
