SAN PEDRO CITY–A suspected robber was killed, while his companion escaped following a shootout with the police in Bacoor City, Cavite.

Supt. Francisco Luceña III, Bacoor police chief, said they have not yet identified the slain suspect in the shootout that took place between 11:30 p.m. Monday and before 1 a.m. Tuesday in Barangay Molino 3.

Before the shootout, Luceña said patrolling policemen came across a man running out on the street along Molino Boulevard. The man, later identified as Luisito Pangilin, told the police that he was held up by two men on a motorcycle. Pangilin said one of them, wearing a sky blue jacket and a bull cap, held a gun and forced him to give his motorcycle.
