COA wants probe of BIR’s antitax evasion ad deals

/ 07:00 AM February 05, 2018

The Commission on Audit (COA) has sought an investigation of the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s (BIR) advertising contracts for its antitax evasion program.

COA has forwarded to the Ombudsman the case of the BIR’s P3.07-million contract with Great Wall Advertising Philippines Inc.

COA also denied the firm’s petition to be paid by the government for the advertising placements for the Run After Tax Evaders program from November 2011 to January 2012. —Vince F. Nonato
