Two Bulacan City councilors survive ambush

CITY OF MEYCAUAYAN—Two city councillors here survived an attack at noon on Friday (Feb. 2) in Malhacan village.

Councilor David Michael Ramirez, 32, is in critical condition at a hospital. Councilor Tomas Rosales, 60, was unhurt.

The two were being driven to Rosales house for lunch. As the vehicle approached a subdivision, a lone gunman on a motorcycle blocked their path and fired at the car hitting Ramirez.

Rosales was sleeping at the back seat of the vehicle at the time.

They had just attended a council session. The police are tracking down the suspect. Carmela Reyes-Estrope INQ
