LUCENA CITY – Police arrested two suspected village drug peddlers here over the weekend ahead of the start of the renewed “tokhang” campaign, police said.

Quezon police director Sr. Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said Ramel Vidal and Rey Deo were busted after they sold a sachet of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover lawman in Barangay Isabang at about 6 p.m. on Sunday.

Police, however, seized a total of 10 small sachets of shabu weighing 3.94 grams with a street value of P7,289 during the anti-illegal drugs operation. Also, authorities confiscated a Toyota Vios, which the suspects allegedly use to distribute illegal drugs.
