Gaming consultant Charlie “Atong” Ang said he is prepared to shoot himself if he fails to prove that the collections from the Small Town Lottery (STL) should have been P5 billion a month or P60 billion a year.
This, he said, was contrary to Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Alexander Balutan’s claim that the agency was collecting a measly P1.7 billion a month or P18 billion a year.
“Papatunayan ko sayo (Balutan) ‘yan. Ako naman sugarol ako, ikaw magaling ka dyan,” Ang said in an interview over DZMM on Friday.
(I will prove it to you [Balutan]. I am just a gambler, while you are the expert there.)
“Papatunayan ko na P60 billion (a year) minimum, P5 billion per month,” Ang added.
(I will prove that [collections amount to] P60 billion [a year] minimum, P5 billion per month.)

He also said that Balutan made a “mistake” when the latter dragged him into the PCSO controversy over its alleged lavish Christmas party last year.
It was Sandra Cam, the newly-appointed board member of the agency, who exposed the alleged P10 million-worth party, which was held at the Edsa Shangri-La’s Isla Ballroom in December 2017. But Balutan refuted Cam’s allegation, saying the money spent was only P6.3 million.

INQUIRER.net tried to get the side of Balutan on this issue but the PCSO official has yet to respond as of this posting. /kga
