SAN PEDRO CITY-About 400 families lost their homes to a fire that hit a seaside community in Bacoor City, Cavite province on Wednesday.
The almost two-hour fire that razed the houses of illegal settlers was put out before noon, said Superintendent Aristotle Bañaga the ground commander from the Bureau of Fire Protection.
In a phone interview, Bañaga said no one was initially reported hurt or missing.
He said they were still investigating the cause of the fire.
Bañaga said local officials from Barangay Tabing Dagat were still discussing the relocation of the affected families.
