Quezon police nab teen in drug buy-bust

LUCENA CITY–An 18-year-old was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Candelaria town in Quezon province early Tuesday, police said.

Senior Superintendent Rhoderick Armamento, Quezon police chief, said anti-illegal drug operatives arrested Jayson Hermoso, alias “Gaslaw,” after he sold a sachet of “shabu” (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to a police asset in Barangay (village) Malabanban Norte around 2 a.m.

The suspect yielded two small plastic sachets of shabu worth P1,480 in the street market.

Police tagged the suspect as one of the newly recruited drug pushers in town to replace those who had already surrendered and been arrested.
