The Mayon Volcano continued to spew lava from its crater, posting an episode with a height of 600 meters early Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Seismology and Volcanology (Phivolcs) said.
At 1:32 a.m., Phivolcs recorded a lava fountain event at the Mayon Volcano’s crater, which released ash plume with a height of 2.5 kilometers going west-southwest of Albay province.
Phivolcs stayed Alert level 4 over Albay as Mayon Volcano steadily shows “signs of eruption.”

The Mayon Volcano emitted on Monday afternoon a huge gray column of lava fragments, ash, and steam with a height of 10 kilometers.
Phivolcs chief Renato Solidum said that the explosion propelled superheated lava, molten rocks, and steam cascading down Mayon’s slopes and enveloped Albay in darkness. /kga
