Loan collection officer found dead in Kalinga

TABUK CITY—A 25-year-old loan collection officer was found dead on Friday (January 19) at a ravine in Pinukpuk town, Kalinga province.

Denver Fernandez, 25, an employee of ASA Philippines, did not return home after proceeding to Bayao village to visit clients.

Villagers later found his body at the ravine, bearing multiple stab wounds. His motorcycle was located 30-meters away from his body.

His backpack, containing collection receipts, passbooks, documents and cash, was missing.

But the police found P25,000 in cash wrapped in a cloth tucked in the victim’s underwear when Fernandez was being prepared for autopsy. Villamor Visaya Jr. INQ
