Metro Manila and most parts of Luzon will have cloudy skies and scattered rain due to the tail end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said Wednesday.

The tail-end of a cold front is affecting the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

Cloudy skies and scattered rain are expected over Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, and the Bicol region.

Meanwhile, the trough of a low pressure area will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over the Visayas, Caraga, and the rest of Mindanao.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain are expected over the Cagayan Valley due to the northeast monsoon, while partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain are seen over the Ilocos and Cordillera regions. /cbb
