The Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT-3) was forced to remove three of its trains during rush hour on Thursday due to different defects, an MRT official said.

Two of the trains suffered a defect in its air-conditioning unit that led to the removal of the trains at 6:35 a.m. and 7:59 a.m., MRT media relations officer Aly Narvaez said in a viber message to reporters.

Narvaez said the cause of the removal of the other train at 7:42 a.m.  was “wheel slipping and electrical failure.”
