Thunderstorms are expected in Rizal and Cavite in the next two hours, the state weather bureau said Monday afternoon.
In a thunderstorm advisory issued at 3:50 p.m., heavy rains with lightning and strong winds due to thunderstorms are expected over these areas in the next two hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The same weather conditions are being experienced in Metro Manila, namely Quezon City, Pasig, San Juan, and Makati.
This may persist within 2 hours and may affect nearby areas, Pagasa said.
All are advised to take precautionary measures against the impacts associated with these hazards which include flash floods and landslides. “Keep monitoring for updates,” it added. /je
