WATCH: Thousands of Black Nazarene devotees queue for ‘Pahalik’

Thousands of devotees of the Black Nazarene lined-up on Monday for the annual ‘Pahalik’ at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

In a video taken by Marianne Bermudez of Philippine Daily Inquirer, devotees can be seen patiently waiting for their turn to wipe their towels and kiss the feet of the Black Nazarene.

Pahalik is part of the celebrations for the Feast of the Black Nazarene, and done a day before the annual Traslacion, the main procession of the Black Nazarene’s image that lasted for up to 22 hours at one time in the past.

Traslacion 2018 is scheduled to commence and leave the Quirino Grandstand by 6 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9.       /kga
