Malacañang urged Filipinos on Monday to “put their appreciation into action” after President Rodrigo Duterte maintained a high approval and trust ratings in the latest Pulse Asia survey.
“We assure our people that he will continue to discharge his duties with the nation’s interest foremost in his mind,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a Palace briefing.
The Pulse Asia survey, released on Monday, showed Duterte got an approval rating of 80 percent, and trust rating of 82 percent in the December 2017 poll.

“This number showed that our people are aware of and recognized the significant strides that the President undertook in his one year and a half month in office,” Roque said.
The survey revealed that Duterte got the highest approval and trust ratings among top government officials in the country.
“With that, we call on everyone to put this appreciation into action by standing as one and helping the government as we continue to address the problem of poverty, illegal drugs, criminality and corruption,” Roque said. /kga
