Drug suspect shot dead in QC

A man allegedly involved in illegal drugs was shot dead inside an eatery in Quezon City early Friday.

Quezon City Police District identified the victim as Geffrey Fernandez,  39, a resident of Ilang-ilang Street in Barangay Payatas A.

Investigation showed that the victim was on his way home on his motorbike around 2:45 a.m. when two armed men on a motorbike shot him repeatedly.

Earlier reports said that during the attack, Fernandez was able to run inside an eatery at the corner of IBP Road but died inside the canteen. Relatives of the victim said he was involved in the drug trade. —JHESSET O. ENANO
