Wayward truck crashes into houses, hurts 1 man
PAGADIAN CITY—A wayward trailer truck injured a 64-year-old man when it crashed into two houses along the national highway in Barangay Balimbingan in Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur on Thursday.
The Labangan police said in a report that the Isuzu Wing Van with license plate ABK 2650 was traveling to Cagayan de Oro from this city when the driver, Raymart Simudlan, 26, of Maramag, Bukidnon, fell asleep around 6 a.m.
The truck went off-road and plowed into the houses, both owned by the Barrera family.
The injured was identified as Wilson Barrera, who was inside one of the houses when the truck crashed into them. Simudlan remained under police custody as of Friday.
