PNP to evaluate drive vs wanted persons, loose guns
MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine National Police will assess this month how far its force has gone in capturing wanted persons and confiscating loose firearms, said PNP chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters at the second leg of the 19th Defense and Sporting Arms Show, Bartolome said that the PNP will be checking how many wanted persons have been captured.
Bartolome in October ordered all provincial police forces to capture 100 to 150 suspects with arrest warrants per month.
He also directed the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group to arrest 50 wanted persons monthly.
