Check out cities in eastern metro that ban firecrackers
All cities under the jurisdiction of the Eastern Police District (EPD) have banned residents from lighting their own firecrackers during the New Year’s eve celebrations.
No firecracker zones
In an advisory, the EPD said that the local governments of Pasig City, Marikina City and San Juan City did not designate any firecracker zone for their constituents.
For Mandaluyong City, the police designated seven firecracker zones, but its local government chiefs led by Mayor Carmelita “Menchie” Abalos rejected it as they instead imposed a “total firecracker ban.”
