No sign Arroyo leaving hospital

MANILA, Philippines — There are no signs that former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is leaving the St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig after her spokesperson said that she wasn’t going to push through with her scheduled trip to Singapore this Thursday.

As of 8 a.m., the hospital has not issued a medical bulletin on Arroyo’s condition.

In an interview over Radyo Inquirer 990AM, Elena Bautista-Horn said that Arroyo “wasn’t feeling well”.

On Wednesday, Arroyo’s aides said that the now-congresswoman would again attempt to leave the country, a day after she was barred by immigration authorities at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from leaving.

The Supreme Court allowed  Arroyo to go abroad to seek medical treatment for a bone disease after the government placed her and husband Jose Miguel Arroyo on the watchlist.
