17 of 37 fatalities in NCCC Mall fire identified

DAVAO CITY – Authorities on Tuesday said 17 of the 37 NCCC fire victims had been identified.

Chief Inspector Nolan Genova, the medico legal officer of the police’s Regional Crime Laboratory Office in Southern Mindanao, said the victims were identified through secondary identifiers such as partially burned IDs.

He said the 17 identified remains had all been claimed by relatives as of 6:35 p.m.

The fatalities:

-Kurtchin Angela Bangoy,

-Joyne Pabelonia,

-Christen Joy Garzon,

-Jim Benedict Quimsing,

-Jonas Basalan,

-Jesseca Samontina,

-Jimbo Limosnero,

-Rosyl Montanez,

-Christine Joy Ferraren,

-Ivan Roble, Venus Joy Kimpo,

-Elyn Joy Yorsua,

-Jeffrey Sismar,

-Sheila Mae Bacaling,

-Roderick Antipuesto and

-Nancy Loyd Abad

All 37 fire victims worked at data provider firm, Survey Systems International (SSI).
