Domestic flights canceled amid bad weather

Even if typhoon “Vinta” is on its way out of the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) on the eve of Christmas Day, some local domestic flights were cancelled on Sunday due to inclement weather.

The Manila International Airport Authority (Miaa) has announced that as of 7:50 a.m., the following flights have been cancelled:

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said on Sunday that Vinta has intensified into a typhoon as it headed outside the PAR.

The typhoon was last spotted 335 kilometers south southeast of Pagasa Island, according to the state weather agency, and is expected to exit PAR this morning.                         /kga
