Roxas Boulevard to close on Dec. 17 for Christmas parade
The southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard, from Katigbak Drive to P. Ocampo Street will be closed to motorists on Dec. 17 for a Christmas-themed float parade, the Manila District Traffic Enforcement Unit (MDTEU) announced Friday.
In a traffic advisory released on Friday, the MDTEU said the stretch will be closed at 3:00 p.m. onwards to make way for the float parade of the first-ever event dubbed as “Christmas by Manila Bay.”
The activity would feature corporate and government-sponsored floats depicting the Pinoy’s Yuletide spirit.
Re-routing of vehicles
Vehicles coming from Bonifacio Drive toward the southbound lane of Roxas Boulevard must turn left to P. Burgos Avenue.
Vehicles traveling on the westbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue must turn right to Bonifacio Drive or make a U-turn to the eastbound lane of P. Burgos Avenue.

Article continues after this advertisementFor vehicles coming from three Manila bridges—Jones, McArthur, Quezon—toward the closed stretch of the boulevard, they would have to go straight to Taft Avenue.
All vehicles traveling westbound lane of T.M. Kalaw Street toward Roxas Boulevard shall turn left to M.H. Del Pilar Street.
Vehicles going to and from Manila Ocean Park, H20 Hotel or Manila Hotel shall use Katigbak Drive as access road.
Vehicles traveling westbound lane of President Quirino Avenue going to the closed stretch of road must turn left to Adriatico Street.
All vehicles traveling westbound lane of P. Ocampo Street toward the southbound lane must turn left to F.B. Harrison. /jpv
