Bato to Bilibid drug peddlers: I will make your life miserable
Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa assured on Friday the inmates at the New Bilibid Prison of a “comfortable” life once he assumes the top post at the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), but it will be the other way around for those who continue to peddle illegal drugs.
That is, of course, if the inmate is well-behaved, he said.
“I will make your life very, very easy and comfortable. For the drug lords, I will make your life miserable. If you would continue on trafficking drugs, you better start praying,” Dela Rosa told the inmates in his first visit to the national penitentiary since President Rodrigo Duterte announced his intention to appoint him as head of the BuCor.

Dela Rosa is set to retire in January. Duterte, however, has asked him to stay on as the country’s top cop for three more months. After which, he is expected to hold the top helm of BuCor.
Dela Rosa visited NBP on Friday for BuCor’s 112th foundation day celebrations and Christmas party.
