A northeast monsoon or amihan will bring isolated rain to Northern Luzon, while the easterlies will affect eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, the weather bureau said Sunday.

The Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan valley region, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain due to amihan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 7 a.m. bulletin.

Cloudy skies with light rain is expected over the Batanes and Babuyan group of Islands. Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms will be experienced in Aurora province, Pagasa added.

Moderate to strong winds from the Northeast section will prevail over Northern Luzon and Aurora province. Waters along their coastal areas will be moderate to rough. /cbb
