Cagayan hit by magnitude 4.4 quake

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake hit Cagayan on Sunday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Philvocs) said.

A bulletin posted by Phivolcs at 4 a.m. showed that the earthquake struck west of Calayan island at 2:50 a.m.

The quake’s origin was tectonic and had a depth of 6 kilometers.
