The San Mateo police have obtained a video footage of a closed circuit television indicating that indie actor Eugene Kiro Tejada committed a mistake in mauling to death an office supervisor inside the comfort room of a grocery store in Rizal.

SPO1 Wilmer Privado, of the San Mateo Municipal Police Station, said the police had been analyzing the CCTV footage, furnished by Puregold branch in Banaba in San Mateo, and all factors indicate that the victim, Frenil Bautista, did not even made contact with Tejada’s live-in partner May Jana Malilin.

Tejada reportedly followed Bautista, 44, married, an administrative supervisor at the Beta Equipment Sales Corp., and brutally mauled him inside the toilet after Malilin accused him of groping a part of her body.

Privado said the police had watched and analyzed the video over and over again and they could not see any instance that Bautista sexually made advances at Malilin.

Privado said the police are theorizing that Malilin may had mistakenly accused Bautista, who was seen innocently walking into the Puregold to use the toilet.

Investigation proved that Bautista had just came from his field office in Bulacan and just dropped by Puregold to urinate before heading home a few kilometers away.

Tejada and Malilin went inside the grocery store ahead of Bautista and investigators said there could be no way both camps ever made contact.

“Walang instance na nagkadikit, nagkasabay o nagka-banggaan itong si Malilin at Bautista. Mukhang nagkamali ng itinuro yung babae kung meron mang sexual advance na nangyari,” Privado said.

Investigation also said that Tejada stormed the victim inside the comfort room’s cubicle and attacked him until he could no longer move on the pavement.

“Witnesses said Bautista was indeed urinating when attacked from behind. His (victim’s) zipper was still open and his urine was all over his pants when security guards responded and helped him up the floor,” Privado added.

The family said all investigation suggested murder and the victim’s relatives are mulling murder charges against Tejada.

Bautista suffered serious brain injury and slipped into a coma for two days before expiring on November 24, 2017, at the Marikina Valley Hospital.

Tejada, who appeared in some sexually-oriented indie films, was arrested by the police after witnesses pointed to him as the one who mauled to death Bautista on Nov. 22, at about 6:30 p.m.

Tejada, also a businessman, was among the actors in the low-budgeted indie film “Kubli” portraying a character in gay relationship. /jpv
