The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) threatened to file charges against the Philippine National Police (PNP) for issuing unverified statements linking them on the kidnapping of a South Korean national in Pampanga last November 24.

NBI Director Dante Gierran said on Tuesday that based on a report from the NBI-Central Luzon Regional Office (CELRO), all NBI agents assigned in Pampanga have all been accounted for.

Nevertheless, Gierran said he formed a team to look into the matter.                        /kga
