Paru-paro Festival

The City of Dasmariñas enters another year of metamorphosis in its annual Paru-paro Festival, which coincides with the city’s founding anniversary.

Activities include the parade of locals clad in butterfly costumes and the street dance competition.

Pawikan Festival

Local marine conservation efforts take center stage in the annual festival in Morong, Bataan province.

A highlight of the celebration is the release of Olive Ridley sea turtle hatchlings into the waters. Other events include street dancing competition, walk for a cause, trade fair, coastal cleanup project and graffiti contest.

Munato Festival

A cultural festival in the town of Alabel in Sarangani province. The festival of Munato, a B’laan term meaning “first people,” is an homage to the indigenous groups of T’boli, B’laan and Tagakaolo. Festivities include a beauty pageant, cultural village show, craft and artistry exhibit and street dancing.
