A Chinese national was arrested inside an upscale entertainment center in Parañaque City for possessing shabu paraphernalia last Thursday afternoon.

Okada Manila personnel arrested 38-year-old Ang Quan Yang, a temporary resident of Ongpin Street in Binondo, Manila, whom yielded the drug-related effects while inside the entertainment complex at 1:25 p.m. Thursday.

Jimmy Nicolas, security personnel at Okada Manila, said the security men discovered the shabu paraphernalia from Yang’s possession.

Seized from Yang include an improvised plastic tooter containing brownish residue substance, rolled aluminum foil strips, and other items.

Members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and Parañaque Police Station led by Supt. Criselda de Guzman and Chief Inspector Isagani Calcsan assisted the Okada personnel in the arrest of the suspect.

Recovered pieces of evidence have been turned over to PDEA Laboratory Service for qualitative and quantitative examination.

A case for violation of Republic Act no. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being prepared against Yang.  /jpv
