According to data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, establishments engaged in accommodation and food services created jobs for 433,260 workers in 2015.
Paid employees constituted 425,094 workers, or 98.1 percent, while the remaining 8,165 or 1.9 percent were working owners and unpaid workers.
Fast food chains employed the most number, with 130,304 workers or 30.1 percent of the sector. —Marielle Medina
