Classes in Quezon suspended until Friday
LUCENA CITY – Classes in all levels, public and private, will remain suspended in Quezon province until Friday after the state-weather bureau predicted that province will bear the brunt of tropical depression “Salome.”
Janet Geneblazo-Buelo, Quezon public information officer, announced the continuous suspension of classes early Thursday night. She said they have yet to decide if there is also need to suspend government offices.
Around noontime, the Quezon Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office suspended the classes in all levels in public and private in anticipation of possible severe weather condition brought by Salome.
According to Pagasa, Salome is expected to dump rains over Southern Luzon, Bicol region, Mindoro and Northern Samar in the next 24 hours.
