CITY OF MALOLOS—A bomb threat sent through text message on Thursday afternoon (Nov. 9) forced the officials of Bulacan State University (BulSU) to cancel classes at its main campus here.

The message, claiming that explosives were placed inside the school, was delivered to a faculty member at around 3 p.m.

School officials quickly cleared the university to allow the police bomb squad to inspect the campus, said BulSU president Cecilia Gascon.

As of posting time, the police were inspecting every room in the university, said Supt. Heryl Bruno, Malolos chief of police. /jpv
