Classes in Quezon suspended as province braces for ‘Salome’

LUCENA CITY — Anticipating possible severe weather condition brought by Tropical Depression “Salome,” classes in all levels in public and private in Quezon province have been suspended Thursday, the provincial information office announced around noontime.

The suspension of classes was decided by the Quezon Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office after the state weather bureau placed the province under storm signal number 1.

In Laguna, classes in San Pablo City and in towns Nagcarlan and Pangil were also suspended. /je
