The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed the petition of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim-Napoles questioning Sandiganbayan’s denial of her petition for bail, the high tribunal’s spokesperson said Tuesday.
SC spokesperson Theodore Te said the SC en banc dismissed Napoles’ petition for certiorari questioning Sandiganbayan’s two resolutions dated October 16, 2015 and March 2, 2016 denying her petition for bail because the evidence of her guilt is strong.

“The Court (SC) found that the Sandiganbayan had not gravely abused its discretion in denying the petition,” Te said in a news briefing.
Napoles, regarded as the chief architect of the P10-billion pork barrel scam, was charged with five plunder cases before the Sandiganbayan. She has repeatedly maintained that the evidence against her is weak.
She is currently detained at Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City. /je
