In the Know: October is National Health and Tourism Month

National Health and Tourism Month is observed every October by virtue of Proclamation No. 1280 signed on April 24, 2007, by then President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. According to the proclamation, it is important to instill greater awareness of the importance of health and wellness tourism as a globally competitive industry. The Department of Health and the Department of Tourism were tasked to lead the activities. —Marielle Medina
