/ 06:35 AM October 26, 2017

On Oct. 26, 1944, Col. Simeon de Jesus, a fighter during World War II, was arrested in Paco, Manila, by the Japanese military police.

De Jesus led military intelligence work for Gen. Douglas MacArthur and the United States Armed Forces in the Far East (Usaffe) against enemy activity during the early phase of the war.

After his arrest, he was imprisoned in Fort Santiago, tortured and later executed.
