LOOK: 150 brand new patrol motorcycles for QCPD

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) received 150 brand new motorcycles and 485 bullet proof vests from the city government on Wednesday at Camp Karingal.

The donation is part of the several tranches of logistical equipment included in the 2017 procurement program from the Quezon City government, Mayor Herbert Bautista said.

“Inaasahan naman natin ‘yung serbisyo na inaasahan ng lahat ng mamamayan ng Quezon City na dapat nating ibigay sa kanila, iyan ay proteksyunan natin sila laban sa kriminalidad; proteksyunan natin sila sa bawal na gamot at proteksyunan natin nila laban sa terorismo,”  Bautista was quoted as saying to QCPD members.

He also expressed interest to add GPS positioning system to all the vehicles and other assets of the QCPD.

QCPD director Police Chief Superintendent Guillermo Eleazar said the donations will be distributed to the city’s 12 police stations, public safety and intelligence battalions, traffic enforcement unit and police assistance center. /je
