Kian’s parents name 12 Caloocan cops charged in teen’s slay

The parents of slain teen Kian Loyd delos Santos on Tuesday named the 12 members of the Caloocan City Police that were charged with his death.

The policemen, previously named as “John Does” in the previous complaint, were in addition to the four suspects earlier charged with murder and torture before the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The accused policemen were said to have participated during the “Oplan One Time Big Time” operation on Sept. 16, the night when Delos Santos was killed.

The policemen charged are as follows: Police Officer 2 (PO2) Arnel R. Canezares; PO2 Diony B. Corpuz; PO2 Fernan C. Cano; PO1 Reynaldo Dan M. Blanco Jr.; PO1 Silverio C. Garcia Jr.; PO1 Ronald B. Herrera; PO1 Myrldon L.Yagi; PO1 Christian Joy G. Aguilar; PO1 Ceferino B. Paculan; PO1 J-Rossillini O.Lorenzo; PO1 Erwin C. Romeroso; and PO1 Ferdinand R. Claro.

Eleven of them faced the preliminary investigation hearing and were required to submit their counter-affidavit on October 17. Delos Santos’ parents were set to file their reply on October 23.

Paculan was unable to attend the hearing because he was not included in the subpoena.

First to be charged with murder and torture complaints were Chief Inspector Amor Cerillo, PO 3 Arnel Oares, PO1 Jerwin Cruz, and PO1 Jeremias Pereda. /je
