Too, Carter top ANS run
KENYAN Josphat Too and Madelyn Carter dominated the 10-kilometer race of the Abellana National School (ANS) Alumni Fun Run, which was held early yesterday starting in front of the ANS campus along Osmeña Boulevard.
Too clocked 34 minutes and nine seconds to log in his first major win in Cebu while Carter logged a time of 46 minutes to rule the distaff side.
Francis Cacoy clocked 34 minutes and 44 seconds to finish second in the men’s race while Naga City’s Alvirg Busa settled for third spot with a time of 35 minutes and 19 seconds.
Marichu Luterte trailed Carter in second place, clocking 46 minutes and one second while Danao City’s Emily Rosas claimed third spot, finishing in 47 minutes and 53 seconds.
Fellow Kenyan Abraham Missous ruled the 5k category with a time of 15 minutes and 40 seconds while Jhean Andrin won the 5k women’s open (20:32).
Aiza Suaybaguio and Ronnie Andrin, the father of Jhean, topped the 3k division. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G.ROSAL
