Rains to persist due to ITCZ

/ 08:06 AM October 03, 2017

Rains will continue over some parts of the country on Tuesday due to an intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Southern Luzon and Visayas.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon), Mimaropa (Oriental and Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Marinduque and Palawan), the Bicol Region, and Aurora province will have cloudy skies with scattered rains or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening.

Coastal waters throughout the country will be slight to moderate, Pagasa said.

Weather forecaster Samuel Duran said they are not tracking any weather disturbance in the country. /idl
