The low pressure area (LPA) being monitored by the state weather bureau has left the Philippine area of responsibility but the inter-tropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will continue to bring rain to parts of the country on Monday.
Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Western Visayas and Zamboanga Peninsula will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The ITCZ is where winds from different directions meet, and is a breeding ground for LPAs.
The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies apart from isolated rainshowers mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Coastal waters throughout the country will be slight to moderate. /cbb
