2 PAL express flights canceled due to bad weather

The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced on Friday the cancelation of two Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express flights because of bad weather.

In its Facebook page, the MIAA said PAL Express flights 2P 2084 or Manila to Basco, Batanes, and 2P 2085 or Basco, Batanes to Manila were canceled.

In its 24-hour weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Typhoon Talim (locally known as Lannie) was last spotted 850 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes.

The state weather bureau said Palawan and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms with possible lightning and occasional heavy rains caused by the intertropical convergence zone.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers. /idl
