The state weather bureau early Tuesday warned of possible flooding in Metro Manila and nearby provinces due to rains spawned by Tropical Depression Maring.
The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration issued the heavy rainfall warning (Orange) over Metro Manila, Cavite, Bulacan and Rizal at 5 a.m.
Flooding is a definite threat in communities under the Orange rainfall warning.
Meanwhile, a Yellow warning was issued over Quezon, Laguna and Batangas.
Flooding is possible in low-lying areas, Pagasa said.
Light to moderate with occasional heavy rains affecting Pampanga, Bataan and Nueva Ecija which may persist within the next three hours.
