Wanted bus robbers

POLICE are pursuing four armed robbers who robbed passengers aboard a moving bus along Edsa in Quezon City on Saturday morning with one even firing a shot after getting off the bus. Police quoted the driver and conductor of Malanday Metrolink bus (TWH 461) as saying the suspects boarded the bus around 7 a.m. at Muñoz area. They said the suspects declared the heist as the bus approached the MRT North Ave. station in front of Philam Homes Subdivision. Julie M. Aurelio

Dead man found

POLICE are probing the death of a man who was strangled and his head hammered with nails, the sixth such case so far this year. The still unidentified victim was found at around 5 a.m. Saturday on the pavement along Mindanao Extension Ave. in Greater Lagro, Quezon City. Police said this is the sixth case this year with a similar style of execution. Julie M. Aurelio
