2,807 electrical engineers, 2,643 master electricians pass licensure exams

The Professional Regulatory Commission on Thursday said 2,807 out of 4,460 registered electrical engineers and 2,643 out of 3,864 registered master electricians passed the September 2017 electrical engineer licensure examinations.

Data from PRC showed the University of Santo Tomas emerged as the top performing institution in the registered electrical engineering exam, posting a 98.67% passing rate.

Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sto. Tomas was the top performing school in registered master electrician engineering exam with a passing rate of 98.31%.

A graduate from Capiz State University (CIT) (PSPC)-Main Campus  Clint Kenneth Untayao Reducto (93 percent) topped the registered master electrician passers, while Edilbert Vallecera Tandaan (91.80 percent) of Camarines Sur Polytechnic College-Nabua topped the registered electrical engineer licensure exam .

The exams were administered by the Board of Electrical Engineering in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Tacloban and Zamboanga in September 2017.

PRC announced on its official website that the registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be from Sept. 18 to 25. John Lester Alos
