Uncle of Batangas City mayor wounded in shooting
BATANGAS CITY – An 81-year-old businessman, an uncle of the mayor here, was shot and wounded by a lone gunman on Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Senior Insp. Hazel Luma-Ang, information officer of the Batangas Police Provincial Office, said Ruben Dimacuha, owner of RB Dimacuha Square and Total gas station here, was in front of his office at 6:10 p.m. when he was attacked by the suspect.
Dimacuha, uncle of Batangas City Mayor Beverly Dimacuha-Mariño, was hit in the chest and left arm and was taken to a local hospital, police said. /atm
