Alleged car thief asks court for review

AN ALLEGED member of a car theft gang has asked a Quezon City court to review his indictment for the death of car dealer Venson Evangelista. Jayson Miranda appealed to the court to conduct a judicial determination of probable cause as he insisted that there was no reason to indict him. He and the alleged leader of the gang, Roger Dominguez, were indicted for car theft with homicide for Evangelista’s abduction and murder in January. The two were arrested in Quezon City on Feb. 10 due to a traffic violation. Julie M. Aurelio
